Villa Sahara is owned by a British couple who along with their
two children have lived in Alexandria since 2001. They have
long since recognised the potential of this area for being a
superb holiday destination, where you not only experience the
sights of Egypt but also the local life.

Guy is a school teacher at The British School of
Alexandria, and his wife Maria is the school nurse.

Asrar will come everyday and clean for 2 to 3 hours depending on
your needs. She speaks quite good English.
Asrar is also a good cook and for 50le (aprox £5) plus the cost of
the food, she can prepare you your evening meal ready for you to
reheat when required. (This arrangement is made directly with
her.)

Sayeed (the bo'ab or doorman) looks
after the garden, the pool and
terrace. (We do have an engineer
coming in twice a week to check on
the pool as well). As the villa is left
empty for short periods of time
Sayeed lives permanently in a guard
house situated by the gate. His
house is designed so that you have
complete privacy. He has a door
leading out onto the street in order
for the door by the drive can be kept
closed. He is on hand to help with
odd jobs such as changing gas
cylinders etc.

Ahmed is the full time driver for Villa Sahara. He speaks enough
English to understand what you are asking, and it is improving all
the time. We have found his driving to be very careful.
