Shopping - There is approximately 10 Egyptian pounds to the pound sterling.
Shopping for food is incredibly cheap, especially meat. You can buy basic food
items in King Mariout, and there is an excellent butcher. Also there is a pharmacy.
15 minutes drive away there is a large Carrefour Shopping Centre, where you can
buy everything. Clothes are very good value. Many of the designer labels are
manufactured in Egypt making those items often a third of the price.

about an hour from King Mariout.
